Californians!!

Hi all,

We are now re-planted on California soil. After a very busy but productive few months of working, taking care of Ranier, planning for the move, and just generally gutting out our remaining time in NC, we have finally disembarked here in the Bay Area. Our stuff, including our car, is all being shipped across the country, so we were able to take the relatively quick and painless 6.5 hour flight here.

So far, we couldn't be better! The weather is grand, we are comfortably ensconced in my parents' house in Berkeley, and everyone seems to be in good spirits. The hunt for pre-school for Dahrius, housing for all of us, and other logistical details begins next week...

I have some final photos from NC to share, and some initial pics from here in Berkeley, which I will get to soon.
