Re: the Bissells join us in SMA

Walker and Dahrius had a blast together. Here they were making huge mounds of sand and leaping over it.
Cute cousins
A little break at the cafe for coffee and hot chocolates (and pass the baby).
Chloe led the boys in practice and performance of "the band," where they each performed their solo act (song and dance) and then there was a joint performance. It was very cute and actually pretty impressive. We'll expect a similar performance each time they get together...Dahrius did a very energetic rendition of "ABCD..."
Chloe was had a pretty smooth number to a song she made up herself. Walker's later...
All kids together (with audience participation) of "Jingle Bell Rock."
All kids agreed on a lovely blue and gold pinata, which took many turns at bat to finally break. Good fun!
The kids table at Villa Santa Monica for breakfast one day.
What a lovely picture!
The whole Bissell-Hall-Uhls clan!
On an excursion past "La Mirador" where Dahrius insisted on looking through the viewfinder (at probably 2x or 3x magnification). Of course he needed a little boost, and Baba was a willing and able helper.
Adjusting our hats for the photo.
A break during one of our daily excursions.
We stopped for a visit at the Hernandez's, local San Miguelenos, who are part of our extended family. They just welcomed their latest nephew/grandson, Josue Gabriel--born this week (after we left San Miguel)
Here's Walker's special song/dance performance.
Another of the many stops by the Jardin and La Parroquia.
Ranier just LOVED his baths, esp. in the sink with lots of room for splashing.
Kids together, watching the old classic "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang"
An excursion to nearby Guanajuato.
A view of Guanajuato.
Back home again!

Re: more San Miguel de Allende

Here is La Parroquia, the beautiful main church in the heart of San Miguel..near sunset. One of the greatest things about these Mexican towns is the always lively center/plaza/jardin/zocolo. San Miguel's jardin is just across the street from La Parroquia, and we find ourselves wandering through here every day. Parque Juarez is a fantastic park in SMA, where we spent many hours...Here with Uncle Joshie and the Alligator.
Mom and baby, in his favorite perch, at the park.
Dahrius is quite a leaper! Gotta get that energy out somehow!!
Here's sweet baby Ranier.
smiles...

Silly, happy Dahrius.
Ranier, doing one of the tricks he does best--grabbing. Papi had a glasses carrier around his neck that was terribly enticing to little Ranier.
Close-up view of Uncle Joshie.
Ranier was quite enthralled with putting the spoon in UJ's mouth, which of course eventually wound up in his own mouth.

Our lovely house in the patio.
Another visit to the jardin, after some shopping.
Ranier happy with Auntie Karis.
Silly Dahrius being silly with his silly uncle.
Christmas morning: mom and the boys.
Lucherias!!!!
Lucherito.
A new book!! Dahrius sure loves books, esp. when a favorite grownup reads to him.
We enjoyed several hikes to the nearby "Jardin botanico" or botanical garden, just outside San Miguel. THere is a lovely collection of cacti (some rare or endangered) and other native plants and lots of wildlife. Here we are taking a little break in a cool, shady dome.
Ranier with his abuela, Nana.
Nana and Dahrius are racing!!!!!!!!!!
Little D is a fantastic hiker. We hiked for ~1 hour to get here, and around for another hour or two...but we enticed him with an exciting cab ride home.
The baby is slowly stripping down...his favorite is with no clothes and some water.
Another trip to the Jardin.
Hiking at the orchid gardens.

More orchid garden trip. Still more photos to come of the last week we were there with the Uhls and Bissells!!!!!
