Fun with Baba and spring!

We had a wonderful weekend visit with Baba, who played trains (including the new Santa-Fe train), introduced Dahrius to Babar stories at the library, spelled many words on the computer, and cooked for us all. Ahrash and Megan were quite impressed with the dinners, though Dahrius didn't think much of kale quiche and salad for dinner. We're working on the green veggies...We still aren't quite sure what we can bring to his school for Nowruz, Mina we need some suggestions!!!

I'm hoping Ahrash will make lots of Persian foods for us, at least. I bought a lovely (and quite fragrant) hyacinth, but that's as much as we've had time to do. A trip to the Duke gardens confirmed that the magnolias and cherries are in full bloom, the redbuds are beginning to go, daffodils and hyacinths are in full swing, and the dogwoods should be just in time for the grandmas' visits (among many other lovely flowers).

First haircut!!

I took Dahrius for his first "real" haircut last weekend. He was very good and held my hand the whole time. It looks great, but I can't post a photo since our cameras were all stolen. :( We must replace those soon, before the baby arrives!!

I'm doing well as the incubator, and I am LOVING swimming (which I also did religiously when pregnant with Dahrius). It is such a wonderful feeling to move in the water and to defy gravity, if even for a short period of time.
