Dahrius and I were playing at the park yesterday, taking advantage of the unusually warm weather we've enjoyed the last two days. We ran up and down the slides, swung on the swings, and then were starting to head home when he turned to me in all seriousness and said, "I think we need to first go to the gazebo, sit down on the bench for a bit, and take a few deep breaths together." The diction was perfect. It was hard to disagree with this plan, so we went ahead and did just that. I can only imagine that the multi-part plans will get more elaborate before we quite know what to do with them!
Have a wonderful weekend!

Re: Uncle Joshie and Jojo visit
We had a lovely weekend with Josh and Joanna visiting from D.C. Though the weather was still cool and wintry, we enjoyed time at the museum on the new train (which is slower than the old train). We also had fun at home with pillow hugs (see photo) and got some sweet new Mardi Gras bling from Zema's birthday party.
Someone taught Dahrius to run around the house saying, I'm Mr. T! Dress up + sugar from birthday parties--what a hit!
Dahrius is a little bit sad that Joshie and Jojo had to leave and don't live in the playroom.
We had a babysitter (Dahrius' favorite teacher, Elena) on Megan's birthday and had a lovely dinner out at Magnolia Grill (compliments of mom and dad Hall!) Hard to say who had a better time that evening, as Dahrius was raving about having "Lena" over for days.

U-Turn and Uterus
We were out to dinner in November at an Asian restaurant and I was sitting next to Dahrius. He had his usual train in his hand and was driving it up and down the table in front of him. I was teaching him "left turn" and "right turn" and "u-turn" as he drove. Satisfied that he was occupied, I turned my attention back to the dinner conversation. To our surprise, we heard Dahrius driving his train and saying "now my train is making a uterus" as he made a u-turn! Guess he took Mom's reading the pregnancy books to heart! Nana

Re: exciting February!
In the meantime, Dahrius is spending lots of time playing "toss the puppy" or "toss Milo" back and forth.
He is also quite enamored with jumping (off of everything possible, sometimes the picnic table at school).
The baby and mom seem to be growing (as you can see!) and baby is quite active. S/he seems to have migrated high enough to kick mom's ribs, which is both exciting and uncomfortable. All is progressing well, though Megan's iron is a bit low...so it's either supplements or lots of Persian food with lamb!

I finally got a new pass word and got into this.
Blogging is an art and requires some learning for computer illiterate people.
We miss all of you but we had a wonderful visit from Anne Marie and caught up with much of the news. All sounds exciting. But send us news as well.
I told Annemarie to put that story about the Uturn and Uterus about Dahrius in here. It is priceless!
I want a new picture of Megan and Dahrius both! love you all and miss you. will se eyou soon.

February!
Hi all,
It's been a nutty couple of weeks. Megan flew off to Washington State (Pullman) for a round of interviews, followed by a trip to her lab's home in NYC, followed again by a trip back to Washington, this time to Bellingham at Western Washington University. She had a fantastic time at all three places, and we're quite sure there will be a number of big decisions ahead for all of us regarding our jobs, home, etc. Stay tuned.
Dahrius and daddy survived the absence of mommy, though Dahrius was sick much of the time which made it quite a bit more challenging. He also seems to be discovering his "two-year-old"-ness, which doesn't help, but in general he's been having a good time. It's still trains and more trains 24/7.
We haven't taken any pictures recently, so we'll be sure to rectify that situation and get some new images up on the blog soon.
Megan's bday is coming up! Wish her a good one!
